Holly + Parker- Engaged/ Memphis Wedding Photographer

“Hi Kelly! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Of all the things I thought I’d be doing this morning while sitting around family…emailing you about wedding photography is probably the most exciting part of my Christmas!
My name is Parker Mosley, last week I asked Holly Coleman to marry me and we are over the moon. I’m in Colorado with family right now and as we speak Holly is in Collierville talking with her dad about venues and all that good stuff. It’s safe to say they are FREAKING OUT in the best way possible. I’ve offered to help where I can and wanted to introduce myself. Over the last 2 years or so several of our closest friends have been lucky to have you capture their special day. In fact I’ve been a groomsman in a handful of these weddings and seen you at work behind the scenes! Katharine and Logan along with Ashley and Drew are two examples of wonderful people I’ve known since grade school. Your pictures are simply incredible and I will be marrying a young lady with exceptional taste!! We would love to look back 50 years from now at pictures you helped us take as we remember our Memphis wedding. There are a lot of details to iron out over the next 14 months but, again, I’ve been asked to help and wanted to make contact with you. Tentative date right now is February 17, 2018. Please let me know how you prefer to initiate this process and we can discuss details about how to make a Kelly Ginn Photography wedding a reality! I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family and look forward to speaking with you in the near future. LETS DO THIS!!”

Guys, above is the very first interaction I had with Parker Mosley (also known as P-Mo.) While John and I were celebrating Christmas with our families, I got the email above from Parker. It was definitely THE best Christmas present we could have possibly ever received. Sweet Holly and Parker are getting married this coming February at Hunt Phelan and we are simply thrilled they’ve chosen us to be apart of their team. Holly reached out about this engagement session, and I was so excited to hear her vision. She wanted timeless, classy portraits somewhere in Memphis, and we knew JUST the place. We started off at The Brooks Museum of Art. Holly wore the most stunning black floor length dress, and Parker was just as dashing in his black and grey suit. These guys have some serious chemistry. Photographing them was incredibly natural and fun. They are one heck of a couple, and can you even imagine what their kids will look like? Don’t even get me started on their personalities. Both of them are a walking party, and just being around them makes you feel like celebrating.
After the Brooks, we went downtown and shot the last of this session on and around the old bridge. Holly and Parker really wanted to make sure they got an urban setting as well, along with their more casual outfits (and both of them could totally be poster children for “what to wear on your engagement session.”) As Parker said in his email: “I will be marrying a young lady with exceptional taste!!”
Holly and Parker, we know February is a little ways away, but we simply cannot wait. Like this engagement session, your wedding will be one for the books!
